CAPO is the acronym of the Computación de Altas Prestaciones y Optimización (High Performance Computing and Optimization) research line of GAVAB group, belonging to the Computer Science Department (DCC), and located in Rey Juan Carlos University (Móstoles). The main topics of this research line are computer vision, image and video processing, image segmentation, hardware / software optimization techniques, radar signal processing, use of consumption hardware to accelerate algorithmic solutions in optimization problems (GPGPU), …
The group was established in 2007 and it consists of 6 predoctoral and 4 postdoctoral researchers with broad research experience in competitive proyects with both regional and national financing. The technological transfer to the industrial environment is another priority of CAPO and we have actively collaborated with companies such as MEDIAPRO, Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Madrid (EMT), ENDESA Energía, VIGIDAR and Inteo Media. In addition, CAPO belongs to the partnership program with universities of Nvidia Corp., through their Proffesor PartnerShip Program. |
